The Department of Engineering Education is home to cutting-edge facilities that support innovative teaching, collaborative learning, and hands-on practice. From high-tech classrooms to creative design spaces, our facilities are designed to help students thrive.

iClassroom
Completed in December 2020, the iClassroom is a 1,500-square-foot learning environment with pod-style furniture and a 360-degree ceiling-mounted camera system with microphones. It serves as a hub for both teaching and educational research.

Engineering Design Makerspace Classroom
This space supports hands-on experiential opportunities, including 3D printing. Open workstations and areas encourage collaboration on a wide range of projects.

EDGE Recording Classroom Studios
The UF EDGE program operates three distance-learning classrooms and recording studios in the New Engineering Building. Equipped with high-definition cameras, instructor workstations, and control room support, these studios ensure professional-quality course delivery for both in-person and online learners. These studios can accommodate between 74 and 160 students.

IPPD Experiential Learning Spaces
The Integrated Product and Process Design (IPPD) Program features dedicated facilities that support senior engineering students in collaborative, hands-on design experiences. These include a state-of-the-art prototyping lab and three professional conference rooms designed for team collaboration, sponsor meetings, and virtual communication.
