Biography

Dr. Jeremy A. Magruder Waisome is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Education (EEd). She previously served as an Instructional Assistant Professor in EEd (2020-2022) and Special Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School in the Division of Graduate Student Affairs (2018-2021).  She completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering in the Computing for Social Good Lab and the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences in Engineering Education Collaborative (E2C), where her research focused on expanding engagement in computer science and problem-solving in civil engineering, respectively. Dr. Waisome is an avid science communicator and was previously the cohost of the University of Florida’s podcast, Unstoppable Minds.
